“ Delicious. This is as mom-and-pop as you can get and tastes just like grandma's cooking. We cannot overstate how perfect this little momo shop is. It's absolutely worth a visit ”
“ The food was outstanding. Really REALLY good!! Wish I lived closer! Best meal Ive had in awhile. Great flavors and very nice staff! ”
“ Clean, friendly service, welcoming atmosphere. Food took a bit to come out, but it’s hot and prepared fresh so that’s not an issue. The chowmein noodles could use a bit more flavor, the mono’s themselves are fantastic. Deeply flavored with sauces, spice (but not too spicy), with fresh veggies. Highly recommend, give this place a try! ”
“ What a gem! If you live in Albany, have a hankering for authentic Nepalese food, and don't feel like driving to the next closest options in Cooperstown or Poughkeepsie, you're in luck because Mystic Momo will satisfy your craving! Situated in a small but spotless and brightly lit space opposite Townsend Park, this chef-owned spot has limited kitchen space, but still manages to turn out delicious momos (dumplings) and noodle dishes that equals, if not exceeds, the food in other Nepalese restaurants we have tried. As other reviewers note, it may take a while for your food to arrive after you order: but that's because each dish is made fresh...prepared, assembled & cooked on the spot. We had steamed pork momos, chili chicken momos, and vegetable lo mein that were literally perfect. If you don't have a hankering for Nepalese food, after trying Mystic Momo you almost certainly will be subjected to such cravings in the future. ”
“ Holy schmowzow this place is good. My credentials are that I'm Singaporean and love to eat Chinese and Southeast Asian flavors. They absolutely nailed the dumplings (thin skin and tender meat - both pork and beef are very nice and you can ask to do a 1/2 mix of each) and their milk tea is similar to a masala chai, warm and clearly homemade and very well spiced with rich flavour. If it is your first time, would recommend the the Kothey momo (pan fried crispy) as well as Keema Jhol momo (peppery meat broth with green onion). Very nice family, clean establishment, and love that they play Nepali music and TV in the background. ”
“ Mystic Momo opened in July, becoming the capital region's first Nepalese restaurant, and I was so excited to try it out! As a huge momo lover, I was thrilled to see their incredible variety of dumplings--from momos in soup to chili momos (my personal favorite) and even chow mein. Mystic Momo's menu offers so much, and everything we tried was phenomenal , including their mango lassi and chai. We had the Johl Momo, Kheema Momo, C Momo, Fried Momo, and their chow mein. My favorite was definitely the C Momo--sweet, spicy, and tangy, just incredible. The Johl Momo and Kheema Momo were also insanely good, offering unique and delicious flavors. I still need to try their classic steamed momos to compare them to the ones I've had in India. The restaurant also has 6-7 tables and is well maintained, clean, and great service. Overall, as a momo lover, I'm thrilled this place is not only delicious but also super affordable! I was telling my partner that we need to try to visit at least once a month hehe ”
“ We loved everything we had. Specially the chowmein. The momos we had were great too. Our favorite was jhol momo, probably because it was a cold day and the warmth and spice in the soup was a great combo. Must try the milk tea! The staff was just really sweet. Will be back for sure. ”
“ Get a chance to Stopped at Mystic MoMo to get our quick lunch and luckily we found that they have some veggie options in Momo, we had vegetable Chow mein, paneer( Vegetarian)jhol momo, paneer (Vegetarian) Chilli momo. The Chow mein was really good, not too spicy also the momos were filled with flavorful fillings with a good balance of spices, and the dipping sauce (MoMo chutney) was also really good.Highly recommend. ”
